Simple Cocktail Recipe
Here’s a simple refreshing cocktail drink that is easy to make and delicious too. Consisting of ice cream soda, fruit syrup and nata de coco, it’s a fun little concoction that tickles the tastebuds – while being smooth-tasting for adults.
While it is super refreshing, I do recommend having it once in a blue moon as it contains lots of sugar. A festive occasion or a rare little celebration is the perfect occasion to have this drink.
Serves 1 adult.
What is this Cocktail recipe?
A super chill, refreshing drink that can be served at an all-ages party. An alcoholic version for adults, and a non-alcoholic version for kids and those who don’t drink. A little salt to bring out the sharp sourness of the lime juice which mellows out with the sweet syrup and ice cream soda.
The texture is very smooth, especially with the alcoholic version; and the chunks of fruit add a lovely bite in between sips. The chewy nata de coco also adds an interesting texture. This cocktail drink is super pretty with different colourful fruit chunks and purple nata de coco amid the transparent tall glass. A touch of green from the mint leaves adds a pretty colour to the overall appearance.
It is quite sweet and high in calories, so do consume it once in a while.

Tips
- Alcohol has a lighter density than nata de coco, so the cocktail (with alcohol in it) will show nata de coco sinking with the fruit cocktail, as opposed to the non-alcoholic mocktail, which has the nata de coco floating just below the ice.
- Lime juice is always great with sweet soda and salt to get that delicious twist of sweet, sour and salty in cocktails.
- Drink responsibly, and please treat yourself to this drink once in a while as it is incredibly sweet but refreshing.

Storage Instructions
This drink is best served immediately once mixed, especially after adding the ice cubes. It chills the drink while also diluting the strength of the sweetness and taste as the ice melts.
Once opened, the can of cocktail fruits and nata de coco can be transferred to separate air-tight containers, and kept in the fridge with the syrup intact for about 3-4 days. Any leftovers can also be used to make jellies as well.
